Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated after negotiations at the White House that Putin can rarely be trusted and expressed doubt that he will have enough courage for a trilateral meeting.
The President also noted that the participants of the meeting with Trump agreed on security guarantees and plan to discuss this matter in more detail in the future. Regarding a possible bilateral meeting of the leaders, he emphasized that he hopes for it to take place in the coming weeks, but it all depends on Putin's commitment to this process.Recall that after the meeting in Washington with President of Ukraine Zelensky and European leaders, U.S. President Trump stated that he would take charge of organizing a meeting of the leaders of Ukraine and Russia.'We must remember: Putin can rarely be trusted. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether he will have the courage to come to such a meeting. Will he have the courage to participate in a trilateral meeting, or will he again procrastinate? Of course, if he continues to procrastinate, then together we will be looking for new solutions,' Stubb said.
