Ukraine President Addresses Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit
According to UATV: Speaking at the fifth Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit held in Kyiv, President Volodymyr Zelensky called for tougher sanctions against Russia and stronger collaboration among European nations. The summit focused on key issues including missile production, as well as humanitarian and financial support for Ukraine.
Zelensky stressed the need for Ukraine to develop its own capacity to produce missiles for air defense systems.

Deals and International Support
During the summit, agreements were signed with France and Italy for the production of modern missile systems, including SAMP/T, SCALP, and Aster. Slovenia also announced a $50 million allocation for weapons procurement for Ukraine, providing significant wartime assistance.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić expressed interest in deepening ties with Ukraine, highlighting the importance of regional cooperation.

Representatives from Moldova, North Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro agreed at the summit to coordinate efforts on European integration, reflecting the region's shared aspirations to join the European community. Croatia and Ukraine had already signed a bilateral agreement in December supporting Ukraine's EU membership bid, a topic also discussed at the event.
The summit concluded with the signing of a joint declaration, in which participating countries condemned Russian aggression and pledged continued support for Ukraine's fight for independence and territorial integrity.
Holding the summit in Kyiv underscores the vital partnership between Ukraine and Southeast European nations in the face of Russian aggression. The signed agreements and statements signal growing backing for Ukraine, which is essential for bolstering its defense and advancing its European integration.
