4 Ways to Reduce Energy Bills
Laura Court-Jones, small business editor at Bionic has shared her tips.
1. Lower your heating temperature by one degree
You probably won’t even notice this minor change, but it can significantly save on your energy bills. Lowering the thermostat by one degree can save you up to £171.70 a year.
2. Turn off appliances and lights
This may seem obvious, but completely turning off appliances and lights that are not in use can significantly lower your expenses. By doing so, you could save up to £20 a year.
3. Install a smart meter
Smart meters help effectively monitor energy consumption as they allow you to see where and when gas and electricity are being used.
4. Consider changing your energy supplier
Even if you like your current supplier, they may not offer the best rates. If you haven’t checked alternative tariffs in a while, you might be missing out on better options.
