Football fans watched planes during the break

According to The Sun: Football fans have found an original way to spend the halftime - by watching planes. This entertainment became possible due to the location of the 'Vitchyzna' and 'Eton' stadiums on the flight path to Heathrow Airport.

In the match program, the team suggested that fans pay attention to five flights during the break in the match against Reading City.

Instead of standing in line for snacks, fans were advised:

“If you're looking for something to occupy yourself during the break, why not look up!”

Further clarification in the program stated:

“Depending on the wind direction, planes landing or taking off will pass overhead. Try to identify them, as they are scheduled between 15:45 and 16:00.”

This unusual idea, titled 'Up In The Air', included three arriving flights: a Japan Air plane from Tokyo, a British Airways flight from Barcelona, and a Biman Bangladesh plane from Dhaka. Two departing flights were also listed: a Virgin plane to Jamaica and an Aer Lingus flight to Dublin.

One fan at Steg Mido Stadium reported:

“Many fans were joining in this process. I heard one man asking: ‘What plane is that?’ to which his friend replied: ‘Oh, that’s an A380’. It was fun. The game wasn’t too exciting.”

Watching the planes probably became the highlight of the day - the match ended in a draw 0-0.

GettyAs a result, the idea of watching planes during the break highlighted a creative approach to supporting the team. Even despite the dull result of the game, fans were able to find joy in simple things. Such initiatives contribute not only to increasing interest in matches but also create unforgettable experiences for fans.
