Jermain Jenas' daughter received an award at the NFL game
According to The Sun: Sanchia, Jermain Jenas' daughter, received an award during the NFL game at Allegiant Stadium, which accommodates up to 65,000 spectators.
The teenager became the athlete of the week during the game between Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers.
Sanchia Jenas-Keogh received the award for her outstanding achievements in sports at Boulder City High School, where she competes in football, track and field, and soccer.
At the game, she excitedly watched a promotional video that also featured her award being displayed on the big screen.
Sanchia, who is 17, is the daughter of former Premier League footballer and BBC expert Jermain Jenas.
The former midfielder of Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur shared a video of the award ceremony on his Instagram page, saying:
“A proud moment for a father, my eldest daughter was recognized as player of the week at the @raiders game this week. Sanchia, all your hard work is starting to pay off, keep it up, we love you and miss you so much!”
“Follow my athlete daughter @sanchajenaskeogh and support her.”
Jermain is 42 years old and has faced tough times in his career after being released from the BBC last year due to a scandal involving inappropriate messages.
Despite the challenges, he returned to football journalism in February, taking on a new role at talkSPORT, promising to be the best version of himself.
However, just a few months after starting his new job, Jenas divorced his wife Ellie Penfold, who stayed with him even after the scandal.
Sanchia is the oldest of Jenas' four children, and she is already achieving success in the USA amid difficult years for the family.
Sanchia Jenas-Keogh's award is a significant achievement for the young athlete, who continues to develop her talents in the USA. Her achievement also highlights the importance of family support, which has remained steadfast during challenging times. Thus, her success may serve as an inspiring example for other young athletes.
