Solskjaer visited Ipswich derby: in the stands with McKenna.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's visit to the Ipswich match against Norwich
According to The Sun: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attended the match between Ipswich Town and Norwich City to support his former colleague Kieran McKenna.
The former Manchester United manager made the trip to Portman Road to witness one of the Championship's most attractive matches.
GettyThis visit by Solskjaer came a few weeks after he was dismissed from the Turkish club Besiktas, where he spent seven months without significant achievements.
During his time in Turkey, the team exited the Europa League early after losing 1-2 to the Swiss Lausanne.
After being fired in August, the Norwegian returned to England and has already attended Ipswich matches.
Previously, he was at a game where Ipswich triumphed over Sheffield United 5-0, and now he came again to support the team in the derby.
Manchester Evening News confirms that Solskjaer arrived at Portman Road specifically to support Ipswich's coach McKenna.
The two worked closely together at Manchester United, where McKenna was Solskjaer's assistant during his management of the team.
McKenna initially moved up to the first team's coaching staff under Jose Mourinho and remained at the club when Solskjaer took charge in 2018.
After Solskjaer's dismissal in 2021, McKenna left the club to become the head coach of Ipswich.
Since then, McKenna has impressed everyone with his achievements, taking Ipswich from League One to the Premier League with two consecutive promotions.
However, Ipswich dropped out of the elite last year after one season and is now keen to return there under McKenna's guidance.
Solskjaer has often spoken about his former assistant, previously describing him as one of the most knowledgeable and analytical coaches he has worked with.
The former Manchester player is also mentioned among possible candidates for a return to Old Trafford if the club decides to relieve Ruben Amorim of his duties.
SunSport reports that he is being considered for an unexpected return to management at the club.id='6372325636112' data-video-id='6372325636112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.7:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'>
