According to The Sun: Former Mexico national team footballer Omar Bravo has been detained on suspicion of sexual abuse of minors.
The 45-year-old forward, who played 66 matches for the Mexican national team, was arrested during an operation in his home country.

The state prosecutor's office of Jalisco announced that as a result of the investigation, it has been established that he allegedly 'abused a minor girl nine times in recent months.'
It is also claimed that Bravo may have 'committed similar acts before.'
The former footballer, considered one of the best strikers in Mexico in the 21st century, will soon be called to court while the investigation continues.
Bravo began his career at 'Guadalajara', where he played 382 matches, scoring 132 goals. He also played in the USA for Sporting Kansas City, North Carolina, and Phoenix Rising.

In total, Bravo played 536 matches in his career and scored 169 goals. For the Mexican national team, he scored 15 goals in 66 matches between 2003 and 2013, including appearances in the 2006 World Cup.
Bravo ended his football career in 2020 and later briefly worked as a coach for the Arizona Monsoon FC team in 2024.
According to the Associated Press, Bravo's lawyer “could not be reached immediately.”
