The 63-year-old athlete underwent a cardioversion surgery—a procedure during which the normal heart rhythm is restored using controlled electric shocks.
The surgery appears to have been successful, as Warriner-Little posted a photo with his thumbs up.
“Cardioversion completed and successful, hope to be home in an hour,” he wrote in the caption.
Warriner-Little achieved significant success in darts before deciding to become a pilot.
He was a regular participant in the PDC World Darts Championship, reaching the quarter-finals seven times, and the semi-finals in 1999 and 2003, where he lost to Phil Taylor both times.
He also achieved the title of runner-up in the Matchplay World competition, losing to Taylor in 1997 and 2000.
However, he became the champion at the World Grand Prix in 2001, defeating Dutchman Roland Scholten 8-2 in the final in Dublin.
Warriner-Little retired in 2009, but returned to the senior tour in 2022.
Today, he continues to be involved in darts, working as a commentator on television and as head of the PDPA players' union.
At the same time, his new passion is aviation. He eagerly shares photos from the cockpit, posing in headsets and glasses against the backdrop of an airplane.
It is important that even after serious surgery, Warriner-Little shows a positive attitude and desire to return to active life. His journey from darts to aviation inspires many sports fans and highlights that health always comes first. Now, as he recovers, new achievements in other areas of his life are to be hoped for.Read also
