French fishermen supply Ukraine with horsehair nets: an effective defense against drones.
French fishermen have delivered fishing nets to Ukraine for protection against drones
According to inkorr.com: Fishermen from French Brittany decided to support Ukraine by donating used horsehair fishing nets, which will now serve to protect against drones. Instead of ending up in a landfill, these nets will be used by the Ukrainian army to create protective tunnels.
Christian Abaziou, the commander of the volunteer fishermen, explained that these nets had become unnecessary for their team, so they decided to send them to Ukraine for protection. Over 800 tons of material have been sent for the construction of protective tunnels in the conflict zone, which spans 280 km. After the successful deliveries, the president of the charity organization, Gerard Le Duff, expressed gratitude to the Ukrainians for accepting the help.
“When we found out that Ukraine needed nets, the fishing community responded quickly,” Le Duff noted.
This initiative by French fishermen has become an important contribution to the defense during the conflict in Ukraine, helping to ensure the safety of both military and civilians.
