According to the FSB's account, Korba and Vasin were recruited in Ternopil, Ukraine, in August 2025. Following the purported attempt on Alexeyev's life, Korba allegedly traveled to Moscow via Chisinau and Tbilisi. The FSB further claims he then flew to the United Arab Emirates, from where he planned to return to Ukraine through Romania.
