According to The Sun: Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé has claimed the Ballon d'Or, surpassing Barcelona's young talent Lamine Yamal with a significant margin.
The 28-year-old Dembélé secured this prestigious award after an impressive 2024-2025 season, in which he helped PSG win four trophies, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists in 53 matches.

According to France Football, the French player scored 1380 points, while Yamal finished second with 1059 points, trailing by 321 points.
This contrasts with last year's controversial race, where Rodri from Manchester City edged out Real Madrid's star Vinícius Júnior by just 41 points.
Comments on the Results
After the Ballon d'Or ceremony, Yamal's father, Munir Nasraoui, expressed his feelings regarding the results.
Nasraoui seemed to take the results with forgiveness when he stated: “next year he will be ours.”
However, he later remarked about the unfairness:
“I wouldn't say it was a robbery, but there is a moral bias against the person, as I believe Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world, without a doubt.”
Voting System and Results
The voting took place after the list of 30 finalists was compiled. 100 top journalists from various FIFA member countries voted, indicating their top 10 options.
The voting was converted into points, where first place awarded 15 points, and other positions received 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 point respectively.
The total score determined the ranking of all 30 nominees.
Dembélé finished first and was supported by three teammates in the top 10: Vitinha (third, 703 points), Achraf Hakimi (sixth, 484), and Nuno Mendes (tenth, 171).
Among others, Raphinha from Barcelona ranked fifth (620) and Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah (657).
