Micah Richards avoids responding to provocative question
According to The Sun: Former Manchester City player Micah Richards avoided answering a question from Jamie Carragher on CBS.
CBS SPORTSRichards returned to the Etihad on Thursday night to watch his old team play in the Champions League.
After City's 2-0 victory over Napoli, Richards interviewed his former academy teammate Phil Foden.
At the end of the conversation, he was interrupted by colleague Jamie Carragher, who asked:
“Are you supporting Arsenal or City on Sunday?”
Foden, smiling, also turned to Richards, asking:
“Who are you supporting?”
After a brief pause, Richards grabbed his earpiece and jokingly replied:
“We have technical problems.”
Foden and Carragher began to laugh, with Richards joining in, adding:
“See you later.”
Interestingly, Richards was trained at City's academy and played 245 matches for the club, winning an FA Cup and a Premier League title. However, he actually grew up a fan of Arsenal.
The Arsenal Connection
