State Consumer Service revealed the details: how to get free warranty repairs.
According to inkorr.com: The State Consumer Service explained how Ukrainians can obtain free repairs, exchanges, or refunds for their equipment during the warranty period. According to Ukrainian consumer protection laws, manufacturers and retailers are obliged to repair products at their own expense in case of any issues.
When equipment breaks down during the warranty period, the manufacturer or store must repair it at their expense. The time spent in service adds to the warranty period. You can apply for repairs to the seller, manufacturer, or authorized service at your place of residence.
To receive warranty service, you need to have the receipt, warranty card, and undamaged manufacturer's seals with you. Diagnostics are conducted free of charge, and a repair can only be denied in case of violation of the operation rules.
- Check the documents and the condition of the product
- Submit a written application for repairs
- Receive a document with the timeline for completing the work
- In case of delays, remind about the legal timelines and demand compensation
- In case of refusal for free diagnostics, refer to the law
- In disputed situations, contact regulatory bodies or the court
The problem of limited access to repairs
In many countries, manufacturers create difficulties for repairs by not providing access to spare parts and tools, leading to an increase in electronic waste. The European Union and other countries are developing specific laws to facilitate access to repairs, which positively impacts the economy, ecology, and service sector.
Ukrainians can rely on warranty repairs from manufacturers or stores, adhering to the necessary documents and legislation. In case their consumer rights are violated, they also have the right to demand compensation.
