Gegset: The Pentagon will focus on protecting the southern border
The new Secretary of Defense, Pit Gegset, emphasizes that the most important task is to execute the President's orders. He particularly highlighted the importance of strengthening the protection of the southern border of the United States.
'The Department of Defense will protect the territorial integrity of the United States at the southern border. Reservists, the National Guard, and active military personnel will be involved in accordance with the Constitution, our country's laws, and the directives of the Commander-in-Chief,' Gegset noted, as reported by Ukrinform.
He also promised to end diversity programs in the army, build a protective shield for the U.S., and continue the deportation of illegal migrants.
Gegset emphasized that the Department of Defense will swiftly execute lawful orders from the President of the United States without further discussion.
