According to UATV: Ukrainian Army General Mykola Malomuzh has raised alarms over Russia’s mounting difficulties in replenishing frontline troops, arguing that any fresh mobilization drive would fail to deliver a strategic edge for the aggressor. He highlighted that Russia has already suffered severe demographic losses, and new conscription attempts could spark domestic backlash.

Speaking on the FREEДOM TV channel on July 19, 2023, Malomuzh noted that Russia’s mobilization pool for autumn stands at 500,000 people. However, he described the situation as a ‘very complicated format for their conscription.’ The general emphasized that Ukrainian forces are eliminating between 1,400 and 1,500 Russian soldiers daily, reflecting massive enemy casualties. Over the past six months, he said, Russian losses total approximately 300,000 personnel.

Internal Struggles and Their Fallout

Malomuzh also stressed that

“the idea that they have a huge number of people is a myth”

Ukraine is conducting systematic operations to destroy Russian reserves.
