Front Stabilization and Counterattacks: General Malomuzh Highlights Key Battle Zones.
General Mykola Malomuzh Weighs In on the Frontline Situation
According to UATV: On March 15, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Mykola Malomuzh provided an update on the frontline, focusing on the areas around Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad. According to him, while the enemy continues to launch assaults, Ukraine's defense forces have managed to stabilize the situation and are now conducting counterattacks. Malomuzh emphasized that Kostiantynivka remains a primary target, with the highest concentration of attacks occurring in that region.
Since the start of the offensive, two Russian Federation armies have been effectively destroyed. On March 14, 144 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline, underscoring the intensity of hostilities. In the Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Huliaipole sectors, there were 66 attempted assaults. General Malomuzh stressed that Ukrainian forces are not only maintaining a defensive posture but are also firmly holding their positions and inflicting losses on the enemy.
Ukrainian Forces Seize Operational Initiative
The general also noted that the enemy is trying to advance from three or four directions but lacks the capacity to mount an effective offensive and can no longer hold its positions reliably.
“The enemy not only lacks the ability to attack but can no longer effectively hold its ground,” Malomuzh stated. He further highlighted that Ukrainian troops have seized the operational initiative in the Oleksandrivka direction, where they have liberated more than 400 square kilometers. Although the frontline remains tense, Ukrainian forces continue to successfully carry out their missions.
Malomuzh's comments reflect the steadily escalating combat activity in Ukraine and the ability of Ukrainian forces to adapt to new challenges on the battlefield. The strategic importance of Kostiantynivka underscores why both sides are vying for control over these territories. The ongoing counterattacks by Ukrainian troops across multiple sectors signal their readiness to take proactive measures and defend their positions, which could shape the conflict's future trajectory.
