“A month later I officiated the Euro final, Portugal [against] France, and he won again.”
“When I was walking up for the medal, he was at the top, in the line of respect. As I walk forward, I feel Ronaldo grab my face and try to shake hands, as is customary for greetings.”
“I said: ‘Ronaldo, get off my face, I am live!’”
Despite Ronaldo having to leave the field due to injury in the first half of the Euro 2016 final, his compatriot Eder brought victory in the 109th minute of overtime.
