Criticism of the idea of creating a drops register

According to inkorr.com: Oleksii Honcharenko sharply expressed his protest against the proposal of Danylo Hetmanets regarding the creation of a drops register. This initiative suggests that individuals who transfer their bank cards to others may face restrictions on their financial capabilities.

Hetmanets believes that such a measure will help combat criminal schemes, in which drops are used for illegal trade and financing terrorism. However, Honcharenko opposes this strategy, emphasizing that it may lead to the deprivation of pensions for Ukrainians who have fallen victim to fraud due to giving away their data.

“Hetmanets wants to take pensions from Ukrainians! That is, if a hypothetical grandmother perhaps under blackmail, perhaps deceived, transferred her data to fraudsters - she may be deprived of the pension for which she worked all her life and paid taxes!”

Honcharenko urges Ukrainians to be cautious with the pension system and avoid transferring their bank cards, as this may lead to significant financial restrictions, including difficulties with making payments when opening new accounts.

Discussion on financial security

The conflict between Oleksii Honcharenko and Danylo Hetmanets over the drops register is already starting an important discussion about the restrictions on the financial opportunities of citizens and protection against criminal schemes. The acute need for constructive dialogue and finding a compromise has become evident to ensure the financial security of every Ukrainian.
