German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock arrived in Kyiv today, November 4th. This was reported by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

«For almost 1000 days, the missile terror, the sound of sirens, and the roar of tanks have continued. Almost 1000 days without electricity, heating, and many halted lessons. Almost 1000 days ago, Putin's war changed the daily life of Ukrainians, but it did not break their courage and hope for a safe life in a free Ukraine», said Baerbock upon arriving in Kyiv.

She added that although the third winter of war is approaching, Ukrainians continue to stand firm. Violent Russian attacks on peaceful infrastructure, offensives in the Kharkiv region and Donbas, and armed support from North Korea only exacerbate the situation.

Putin wants to exhaust Ukraine and humiliate it with every offensive. But Ukrainians face this war at home, at work, in school, where they have their normal life», noted Baerbock.

She noted that the response to the destroyed thermal power plants and power lines lies in «our winter energy aid, which we have just expanded by providing an additional 170 million euros in urgent assistance». She also emphasized the importance of air defense in combating drone attacks on Ukraine.

«Russia will pay for everything. Until that happens, we, as the G7, will support Ukraine financially up to 50 billion dollars, using the funds from frozen Russian assets», said Baerbock.

She also noted that after almost 1000 days of war, Ukraine has become closer to the EU than ever before, despite Russia's attempts.

«For almost 1000 days, Ukrainians have wished for peace. From the first day and forever, Germany, together with many partners around the world, stands shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine. We will support Ukrainians as long as they need us, so they can move towards a just peace», emphasized the minister.

DPRK Could Be Deprived of Support

The German government reported that it could impose sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) if it continues to participate in the war against Ukraine.

Let us remind you that the war in Ukraine has caused a general deterioration in the life of Germany's population. This is the conclusion of the annual report of the Federal Institute for Demographic Research.

Additionally, Minister of Culture and Media Claudia Roth recently visited Odesa.
