390 thousand Ukrainians to lose financial support: who is affected by the cuts.
More than 390 thousand Ukrainians from dangerous regions will be left without payments due to the end of the financial support program.
The Ministry of Social Policy explained that as of August 1, additional payments to residents of frontline territories will cease, as the project implemented together with the World Food Program of the UN and the Pension Fund of Ukraine is coming to an end.
Who will lose payments in August
Among those who will lose support are pensioners, persons with disabilities (including children), and citizens without pension rights. This program helped more than 390 thousand people, and total payments exceeded 5 billion hryvnias.
Residents of nine regions where fighting is ongoing or may begin will no longer receive these additional funds. These regions include Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy.
The termination of the financial support program will lead to more than 390 thousand Ukrainians from dangerous regions losing additional payments from the government. Among those currently receiving assistance are pensioners, people with disabilities, and citizens without pension rights, for whom this money was an important source of income.
