In August 2025, some citizens will be able to receive monetary assistance for Independence Day. The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) clarified the payment conditions and necessary documents.
Who will automatically receive funds for Independence Day
The monetary assistance is provided under a government resolution. It has been decided that citizens who have become disabled due to the war will be entitled to the following amounts:

- second group — 2.9 thousand UAH;
- third group — 2.7 thousand UAH.
Other categories of citizens will receive payments within the range of 450-1000 UAH. The payment mechanism this year is the same as last year.
Who needs to submit a separate application to PFU for payments
Citizens who are entitled to assistance but are not pensioners and are not working must contact the territorial body of PFU with the necessary documents.
- By October 1, 2025, applications should be submitted in person, by mail, or remotely through the PFU e-service portal.
Details about the monetary assistance payments and the procedure for receiving them can be found on the website of the Pension Fund.
Ukrainians will be able to receive monetary assistance from the Pension Fund before Independence Day. Payments will be automatically provided to war invalids, while others must submit an application to PFU. Details can be found on the PFU website.
