Poltava community will allocate 168 million UAH for treatment and assistance to residents in 2025.
In 2025, Ukrainians have the right to monetary assistance under municipal social programs. In particular, citizens with serious illnesses or affected by the aggression of the Russian Federation, who live in the Poltava community, can apply for such material assistance.
The press service of the Poltava City Council reported this.
What amounts of assistance are provided for citizens
According to information, it concerns one-time payments for treatment and other difficult life situations provided for residents of the Poltava community under the 'Care' program.
For example, guaranteed payments for treatment for residents of the Poltava community with various diseases.
Thus, citizens can receive a one-time material assistance for the treatment of children with oncological pathology and other diseases in the amount of 40,000 UAH for each. Payments will be conducted based on a request from the city Health Department.
Monthly payments will also be provided for persons with transplanted organs for the purchase of necessary immunosuppressive medications, for patients with cystic fibrosis.
Adults can receive quarterly material assistance in the amount of 6,000 UAH in cases of phenylketonuria, homocystinuria or homocysteinemia.
Assistance is also provided for persons with severe chronic kidney diseases who are on hemodialysis and require constant treatment with medications.
Financial support is also provided for persons with disabilities or for those who have lost loved ones in war.
Where to apply for assistance
Payments of monetary assistance will be conducted after personal appeals from residents of the Poltava community. They will be made through the territorial department of the Department of Social Protection and based on submissions from the city Health Department.
According to representatives of the social development management of the Poltava City Council's Department of Social Protection, each case will be considered individually upon application for financial assistance.
The approved expenditures of the 'Care' program for 2025 exceed 168 million UAH, according to the decision of the Poltava City Council.
