GUR cyber specialists on Friday, November 1, conducted an attack on Russian banks that are illegally operating on the territory of Crimea. This was reported by NV, citing sources in the special services.
They reported that the DDoS attack lasted 24 hours. As a result, the operation of remote service systems of the following banks was paralyzed:
- Genbank;
- Russian National Commercial Bank;
- Center-Invest Bank;
- CreditUralBank.
It is noted that tens of thousands of users temporarily lost access to their accounts.
«Russians massively complained about non-working mobile banking apps and the inability to conduct any financial transactions», – the publication states.
Recall, hackers gained access to the broadcasting of several Russian television companies. For about 40 minutes, the airwaves broadcasted the truth about the war in Ukraine and calls for occupiers to surrender. This was reported by the project of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine «I Want to Live». Russian viewers watched a video that objectively depicts the realities of the war in Ukraine. One video, in particular, showed a montage of footage of Russian occupiers' deaths due to FPV drones hitting their targets, as well as due to suicides on the battlefield.
