The Candor of a Former Hostage
According to The Sun: A former hostage from Israel shared horrific memories of the violence she experienced while in Hamas captivity. 25-year-old Romi Gonen recounted her fear of being pregnant after another assault while she was unconscious. She believed she could die becoming a 'sex slave'.
Gonen was kidnapped from the Nova music festival during a Hamas terrorist attack on October 7 and spent 471 days in captivity.
“I thought my life was over. I was alone and felt fear,” Gonen says.
Her testimony highlights the horrors endured by many during this conflict and sheds light on new aspects of the suffering of hostages. Such stories remind us of the hopelessness faced by victims of terrorism and emphasize the importance of seeking peaceful solutions to conflicts.
