Power Supply Situation in Kharkiv

According to Novyny.live: On February 17, 2023, scheduled hourly power outages will continue across Kharkiv and its surrounding region. These emergency measures are necessary due to severe strain on the energy grid, a direct result of Russian missile and artillery attacks on critical infrastructure. The rolling blackouts will be in effect from 00:00 to 24:00.

Industrial and commercial consumers will also face power capacity restrictions throughout the entire day, from 00:00 to 24:00. To keep residents informed, authorities have published detailed hourly outage schedules (HOS), which organize consumers into different shutdown groups, or 'queues'.

Hourly Outage Schedules by Group

  • Group 1.1: No power from 00:00 to 01:30, 05:00 to 12:00, and 15:30 to 22:30.
  • Group 1.2: Outages scheduled from 01:30 to 06:00, 07:00 to 12:00, and 15:30 to 22:30.
  • Group 2.1: Electricity will be cut from 01:30 to 06:00, 07:00 to 12:00, and 15:30 to 22:30.
  • Group 2.2: No power from 01:30 to 05:00, 06:00 to 12:00, and 15:30 to 22:30.
  • Groups 3.1 & 3.2: Power off from 01:30 to 05:00, 08:30 to 15:30, and 19:30 to 22:00.
  • Group 4.1: Outages will last from 00:00 to 05:00, 08:30 to 15:30, and 19:00 to 22:00.
  • Group 4.2: Outages from 00:00 to 05:00, 08:30 to 15:30, and 19:00 to 24:00.
  • Groups 5.1 & 5.2: No electricity from 00:00 to 01:30, 05:00 to 08:30, 12:00 to 19:00, and 22:00 to 24:00.
  • Groups 6.1 & 6.2: Power will be unavailable from 00:00 to 01:30, 05:00 to 08:30, 12:00 to 19:00, and 22:00 to 24:00.

These controlled outages are implemented to preserve the overall stability of the power supply during the severe crisis affecting the region.
