Horner will not become Haas boss: negotiations with the team collapsed.
According to The Sun: Christian Horner's plans to return to Formula 1 have suffered a serious blow after unsuccessful negotiations with one of the teams.
The 51-year-old specialist was dismissed from the Red Bull team in July following unsatisfactory results at the British Grand Prix. He received 80 million pounds as compensation for his departure from the team.

However, Horner, who was previously the longest-serving team principal in F1, having worked at Red Bull for 20 years, is already planning his return to racing in 2026.
SunSport sources report that a reduction in the severance requirements (maximum 110 million pounds) has opened up a path for him to return to F1 as early as spring 2026.
This has fueled rumors of possible collaborations with several teams, including Alpine, Aston Martin - where his longtime friend Adrian Newey works - and Haas.
Unsuccessful negotiations with the Haas team
Negotiations with Haas were confirmed by team principal Ayao Komatsu before the Singapore Grand Prix.
Komatsu, who has been leading Haas since January 2024, replacing popular Guenther Steiner, noted that "preliminary" negotiations indeed took place, but that their development has stopped.
“It is true that he approached us, and one of our employees had a preliminary conversation,” he said.
“But that’s all. There will be nothing more. I have nothing more to say about it.”
Horner's return to Formula 1 will likely require more than just a team principal position.
It is believed that he is seeking a position where he will have full control, likely through acquiring shares in the team, which could be a partial or full takeover.
Although Haas does not have the capital of its larger competitors in F1, owner Gene Haas has shown no interest in selling part of his share package in the team.

Horner's potential return to Formula 1 has generated significant interest in the racing community. His connections with various teams and desire to take a leadership position could substantially influence the situation in Formula 1. We will have to wait and see how events develop and whether he can find the desired team for his return. Read also
