Best Makeup Dupes
Beauty editor of 'Fabulous' Tara Ledden revealed more affordable versions of your favorite cosmetic products worth having in your collection.
"A large portion of us would like to spend less on our cosmetics routines, according to new data from E.l.f. Cosmetics, so it's no surprise that there are millions of videos about dupes on TikTok."
"While some dupes are easily recognizable by their packaging, they often don't match up in substance."
"In fact, some of the best dupes don't resemble the luxury product they're meant to replace at all – and believe me, those are the ones you should be looking for."
Original: Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer, £32.50 DUPE: Natural Collection Bronzer, £3.50 saving £29. The Natural Collection Bronzer has more shades, although the compact does not have a mirror.
Original: Milk Makeup Hydro-Grip Primer, £35 DUPE: E.l.f. Power Grip Primer, £10. Both have a similar green tint and the same long-wear and matte properties – although E.l.f. is so popular that it can be hard to find.
Original: Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick, £28 DUPE: L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Satin Lipstick Beige A Nu, £8.99. The shades of these two lipsticks are practically identical on the lips, although Charlotte Tilbury is matte while L’Oreal Paris has a satin finish, making it more comfortable to wear throughout the day.
Original: Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation, £40 DUPE: Collection Lasting Perfection Matte Foundation, £6.99. Although they do not look similar from the outside, the formula, consistency, and wear of both foundations are very similar – unfortunately, Collection offers only 20 shades compared to the 60 in Estee Lauder.
Original: Glossier Boy Brow, £20 DUPE: Essence Make Me Brow Gel, £2.50. There is a whole thread on Reddit dedicated to this dupe, so you know it must be one of the best. Both have a waxy consistency and added fibers to make the brows look fluffier. I have to say the shades in Boy Brow are better, but if you're a brunette, there are plenty of Essence shade options that are worth trying.
The next news about makeup sets demonstrates the popularity of both designer and affordable options. Many women are looking for ways to save, which is why dupes of expensive brands are coming to market, generating significant interest. For example, the Revolution Pro Cream Wand Trio offers an understandable benefit for those looking to combine quality and price.Read also
