According to The Sun: Homeowners shared their favorite small wins at home, such as early package delivery or fresh sheets. According to a survey conducted among 2000 adults, seven out of ten people are convinced that such simple joys can significantly improve their day.

Many people noted that receiving an early delivery lifts their spirits.

Additionally, changing toilet paper was also recognized as a small win.

People also feel satisfaction when creating small wins for others, such as allowing them to choose what to watch on TV.

Main Joys at Home

Researchers identified the top 20 joys that can occur at home. The most appreciated joy is fresh sheets on the bed — 45% of respondents indicated this as a pleasant moment.

Receiving a package earlier than expected is also considered a significant win: 36% of those surveyed mentioned that this can turn a bad day into a good one.

The study showed that about half of people (49%) value small home joys, and 21% believe the positive emotions from this last more than an hour.

Cadbury Ice Cream commissioned this research, finding that the pleasure of ice cream is also a small win, especially on warm days — 34% of respondents feel joy from ice cream in the garden.

The following points about sweets in general: 36% of people love to enjoy them uninterrupted, while 21% prefer to sneak them when no one else notices.

“Discovering small daily joys that are actually huge in households shows how much they can uplift mood,” said Kim Jacks from Cadbury.

She added: “Wins don’t have to be limited to the home, but there’s something satisfying about celebrating them when they happen at home.”

One in five respondents noted that they notice these wins more often in times of stress or fatigue.

Jacks emphasized: “We were curious to uncover these small things that matter greatly in homes, and all of them can be celebrated and enjoyed in their own way.”

Creating joys for others at home also brings positive emotions. More than 75% of respondents noted that they feel proud when they can do something for others at home, such as cooking a favorite dish (49%), allowing them to choose what to watch on TV (42%), or doing household chores (41%).

In general, these small home victories give many a sense of gratitude and control.
