Glassner convinced Guehi to stay at Palace: why the transfer to Liverpool fell through.
According to The Sun: Oliver Glassner immediately called Marc Guehi after his dream of moving to Liverpool did not come true and urged him to focus on playing for the Eagles.
The head coach of Crystal Palace made it clear that he did everything he could to keep Guehi on the team and promised support throughout the season, reports SunSport.

Glassner was worried about the potential loss of his key defender not only because of his abilities but also due to the leadership qualities he demonstrates on the field. Guehi is a true general on the pitch, and the ongoing unbeaten run of 18 matches owes much to him.
According to SunSport, there are fears in the club that Guehi might refuse to train following the deal's collapse with Liverpool on deadline day, although all details had been agreed upon between the clubs.
Arne Slot's team managed to sign Alexander Isak for a record £130 million in the Premier League, after the Swedish footballer refused to train at Newcastle.
In contrast, Thun signed Joao Vissa, who also refused to train at Brentford.
Recovery and Future Plans
Glassner quickly intervened to calm the situation at Crystal Palace following the deal’s collapse. He explained to Guehi why he is such an important player and emphasized his role in the team this season.
Guehi, 25, has already forgotten about the failed move to Anfield and shows no signs of disappointment either in training or matches.
Vissa was also actively trying to secure a move to Newcastle

SunSport reports that Guehi is not planning to sign a new deal at Selhurst Park, but Glassner respects how he and the club have handled the situation.
Sources say that Real Madrid has already made discreet inquiries after the transfer window closed, but serious offers from the Spanish capital have not yet arrived.
Looking to the Future
Guehi, meanwhile, still dreams of moving to Liverpool. Crystal Palace is actively seeking a replacement, particularly looking at Ousmane Diomande and Josh Achiampong from Chelsea.
After a difficult conclusion to the transfer window, Crystal Palace finds itself in the spotlight as the team's players continue to adapt to new circumstances. Guehi, despite the disappointment, remains an important player, and his presence on the field will be key to the club's ambitions this season. How the situation will unfold further remains to be seen, but it is already clear that Palace will intensify the search for new talents to strengthen its squad. Read also
