Arsenal spends thousands on taxis due to Arteta's rule: what is the reason.
Arteta's Strategies Before Matches
According to The Sun: Mikel Arteta takes every necessary measure to bring Arsenal their first league title since their 'Invincible' season.
However, one of his strict requirements leads to substantial costs for players — thousands of pounds on match days, while also opening up new business opportunities for taxi drivers in North London.

Arteta's Strict Requirements
Arteta has implemented a strict rule requiring players to gather at the training ground before all home and away matches.
This initiative is aimed at enhancing team spirit, which is essential for success in the Premier League.
According to SunSport, Arteta pays attention to even the smallest details and believes that for victory, all players must be in harmony.
The Spaniard meticulously monitors details, including non-verbal behavior and communication among players before matches.
Unlike other London clubs where players can head straight to the stadium, Arteta insists that everyone gathers at the training ground in London, from where they are transported to the stadium.
This results in most players opting to book taxis for the entire day.
Taxi drivers pick them up from the training ground, return home, and then go back for the players after the match.
Taxi Service Expenses
When the team travels for matches, players are prohibited from being picked up by partners or relatives, and all return to the training ground to be picked up by taxis.
According to one of the taxi drivers, the daily fare for a booking ranges from £700 to £1,000.
This amount covers half of a taxi driver's weekly workload, making them interested in collaborating during Arsenal's matches.
“We just hope to get a call since it’s more than half of our weekly plans and it’s pretty comfortable,” said one of the taxi drivers.
Given that players spend about £1,000 on every home match, it is quite likely that Arsenal stars could spend over £20,000 on this service during the season.
Arteta had previously made changes to some rules after an incident when former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was late for the North London derby. However, he is now determined to ensure all protocols are followed.
Arteta confirmed that players arrive at the stadium together.
SunSport has learned that Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has also implemented a similar rule for his team to spend more time together before and after matches.
These measures highlight Arteta's determination to create a cohesive team, which is a key factor in achieving success. His strategy not only sets requirements for players but also opens new business opportunities in North London.
