Game Readiness

The New York Jets will play against the Denver Broncos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, October 12. This is already the fifth international game for the Jets and the fourth in London.

The team aims to create an atmosphere for their fans reminiscent of MetLife Stadium, both during pre-game activities and during the game itself. Jets' Vice President of Fan Commerce, Chris Peirce, noted: “we are trying to bring the energy and atmosphere that makes a Jets game truly special.”

“What we are trying to do is truly bring the tailgate zone experience, the pre-game atmosphere that makes attending a Jets game a multi-generational experience. We are very excited about the opportunity to bring this to London,” said Peirce.

Since this is an NFL-run event, the Jets have certain restrictions regarding pre-game activities. However, they have managed to organize a free tailgate that will include food, drinks, entertainment, and interactive activities for fans.

What Else Will Be at the Game

Chris Peirce advises fans to arrive at the N17 Arena, which is near the stadium, at least two hours before kickoff:

“If you are going to the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, make sure to check out the pre-game tailgate at N17, it's going to be incredible,” he noted.

According to Peirce, food will be an important part of the event, and they plan to serve several “signature” dishes, such as the spicy Fat Rooster chicken sandwich from MetLife Stadium.

“We have been trying to convey the idea of bringing some of our signature dishes from MetLife Stadium,” he added.

Chants and Atmosphere

The Jets have their unique chant “J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets!”, which originated back in the 1970s. At the game in London, this chant will be led by superfan “Jetman,” who has been a fan of the team for many years. He considers it an honor to lead this event in London.

“When I got the call from the Jets, I was very touched. I just couldn't wait for the opportunity to bring that energy to the stadium,” he shared.

The Jets anticipate a massive influx of fans from both the USA and the UK, who will not only attend the game but also participate in events days ahead of it. All efforts are geared towards creating the same warm and emotional atmosphere at the stadium as at home, in New Jersey.

“This is what we’re built for. We are here for this,” said Peirce, describing the expectations for the London game.

“The atmosphere will be incredible, and I am particularly excited that this is a home game, and so many Jets fans will be in the house.”

The New York Jets are ready for an exciting game that will attract significant attention from NFL fans, as well as a wider audience. This game will be an important milestone in the development of international popularity for American football.
