So far, Trent Alexander-Arnold left the champions Liverpool to join Real, and Saliba noted:
“But he has won several trophies with Liverpool. And I? I have won nothing, except... what trophy did we win? The Community Shield.”
“Yes, only the Community Shield. I have done nothing for this club to think about leaving.”
“I cannot leave this club without giving it anything in return. My first choice is to stay here and win everything from the beginning.”
Saliba emphasized that the team is always close to victories, but sometimes something is missing:
“Every time at the end of the season, when you finish second, you feel a bit sad. I would like to go on vacation and celebrate with friends the trophies I have won with the club.”
New contract and future plans
The defender signed a deal worth around £250,000 a week. Martin Ødegaard and Ben White have also extended their contracts until 2028. This summer, Gabriel signed until 2029, while Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri signed deals until 2030.
Saliba stated:
“I am very happy to have signed a new deal with the club.”
“I need to keep working on myself to help the team win trophies.”
“We have a good team, a good coaching staff, so yes, we are close to achieving our goals.”id='6380275544112' data-video-id='6380275544112' data-account='5067014667001' data-player='default' data-usage='cms:WordPress:6.5.7:2.8.6:javascript' data-embed='default' class='video-js' data-application-id='' controls style='width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute; top: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; left: 0;'> Saliba, staying at Arsenal, confirms his loyalty to the club and his desire to achieve new heights.
