Gary Neville revealed the secret of Beckham's contract with Adidas: how it all started.
According to The Sun: Gary Neville believes that he is responsible for David Beckham's collaboration with Adidas, although he does not receive any recognition for it.

Beckham wore Adidas boots during his careerAPSince then he has collaborated with the German company on several advertising campaigns and signed a long-term deal with Adidas in 2003.
And all of this is thanks to his former Manchester United teammate, Gary Neville, as Neville himself claims.
Neville's Words
At the premiere of the Netflix documentary series “Beckham”, Neville noted:
“Do you know something? You know that David Beckham is with Adidas because of me. I gave him his first pair of Predators in the USA in 1994, and that's true.”
“My friends at Adidas, I don't get the proper recognition for this.”
Neville and Beckham spent several years together, going through the United academy.
They became close friends, and Neville was the best man at Beckham's wedding to Victoria from the Spice Girls in 1999.
Wedding Speech
The documentary showed a fragment of Neville's speech, one phrase of which caused laughter among the audience.
Using the victory of the “Red Devils” in the Champions League final against “Bayern Munich” as a joke, Neville entertained the wedding ceremony guests.
Neville said:
“We have some distinguished guests present today, ladies and gentlemen.”
“David said that the Spice Girls asked for the Bayern team to be present today, and David asked why that was.”
“The Spice Girls replied that they wanted to meet any man who could be on top for 90 minutes and still come second.”
Beckham's collaboration with Adidas continues even after the end of his career, as his team Inter Miami also uses this brand's kit.
This story illustrates the lasting connections that arise in the world of sports and shows how friendship can influence a career. Beckham's collaboration with Adidas is a vivid example of how personal relationships can bring advantages in business, even years after the end of an active sports career.
