According to The Sun: Ronnie O'Sullivan shared how the comments from a 12-time snooker champion helped him improve his game.
The 'Rocket' had a less than stellar last season, stopping at several tournaments before reaching the semifinals of the World Snooker Championship.
AlamyO'Sullivan changed his cue tip and technique in an effort to return to form, but lost to Zhao Xintong at the Crucible.
However, results began to improve: he finished second at the Saudi Masters, where he scored two 147 breaks for the first time in six years.
Ronnie shared that a conversation with women’s world champion Reanne Evans helped him realize a mistake in his game.
“Reanne Evans came up to me a year ago and said: ‘you are not the player you used to be’. At first, I didn’t pay much attention to it”
O'Sullivan also noted: “I started watching old videos. It’s not just technique; it’s my approach to the shot. And she was right.”
“I’m trying to relearn. It’s not easy, but I feel like I’m on the right track. I’m dedicating all my time to snooker now”
He also admitted that he feels a desire to participate in tournaments: “I would love to play in Brentwood, I would love to go to Wuhan. I really want to take part in all competitions.”
