Luke Littler attracts fans' attention during the final

According to The Sun: Luke Littler intentionally teased fans during the World Series of Darts final held in the capital of the Netherlands. In a tense match, he lost to Michael van Gerwen with a score of 11-7.

Luke Littler faced a lot of criticism from Dutch fans on Sunday He was looking for ways to entertain himself

Throughout the game, Dutch fans actively criticized the 18-year-old Littler. It seemed to affect his performance as he paused before one of his throws, theatrically turning to his table and swirling water in his glass to show that he would only make the throw when he was ready.

Littler noted:

“Everything I do on stage is for myself. It gives me a bit of confidence.
“When I swirled the water, it was for the fans, not for me. I was just trying to tease them a little.
“Would I have done this years ago? Maybe. In 2023, I would have been much younger then.
“Everything I do is for myself. Usually, I don’t linger. I just want to play the game faster.
“The crowd was on me, and I just had to try to do something to calm down, and then hit that double ten.'

Anticipation for the World Championship

Littler is eagerly awaiting the darts world championship that starts this Christmas. He hopes to win a prize of 1 million pounds sterling. The World Grand Prix, which begins on October 6 in Leicester, marks the start of this important tournament.

Over the next three months, over 1.5 million pounds in prizes will be at stake. Littler has a good chance of overtaking Luke Humphries for the number one position in the world. If he wins seven matches in a row in the world championship starting on December 11, he will receive the biggest jackpot in sport – 1 million pounds.

However, keeping Sid Waddell's trophy will not be easy – the last person to do so was Gary Anderson in 2016.

At the opening of Target Darts' pop-up store in Manchester, Littler said:

“Days are passing, and the world championship is already close, and it’s starting to create excitement.
“The first year was new for me, I was just having fun. This year I’m also enjoying it. I won a few titles.
“It’s the same busy schedule. From the beginning, about four weeks ago, until the world championship, I have only two days off before the first game, then it’s very busy. It’s all preparation for the world championship.
“I definitely want to win the world championship. All players pay attention to the prize money, but for myself, it’s about repetition.”

Littler was also one of seven world champions from BDO and PDC who participated in the store opening. This store will operate for about two weeks and became the first of its kind after the opening near the London Stadium in West Ham.

However, there is one thing that even Littler cannot master – the driving theory test, which he has failed SIX times. He shared:

“I actually took the theory test last week, but did not post it on my Instagram.
“Oh, it was a horrible experience. Let me tell you that.
“I can’t pass the hazard perception test. I’m trying. I just want to pass this exam.
“I have a car at home - it’s not a Mercedes - so yes, it’s waiting.'

Luke Littler continues to actively prepare for important competitions where his talent and endurance could earn him well-deserved recognition. His attempts to control the situation during the final indicate his determination and desire to impress the audience. The darts world championship promises to be a tense competition in which the young player will try to fulfill his ambitions.
