Under the leadership of Enzo Mareski, the team has received much positive feedback thanks to successful transfers this summer.

The Italian coach has improved the attacking capabilities by signing contracts with João Pedro and Liam Delap.

The new forwards forced Niklas Jackson to leave the club – he transferred to Bayern on loan with an option to buy for £56.2 million if he plays a certain number of matches.

Now everyone is eagerly waiting to see if Jackson can shine in the match against his former team.

Can Niklas Jackson play for Bayern against Chelsea?

In the Premier League, players loaned from opponents cannot play against their club, but there is no such rule in the Champions League.

So Jackson may take the field for Bayern this evening.

The 24-year-old striker has already appeared on the field as a substitute for the German club over the weekend, replacing Sergio Gnabry at half-time.

Although it is unlikely that Jackson will play from the start, there is a chance he will come on in the second half.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Bayern's coach Vincent Kompany shared his thoughts on Jackson's readiness:

“We will see tomorrow. I wouldn’t reveal too much information about the team.”

“As for another matter, you can look at it from different perspectives. Perhaps you want your former players to play against you and have a chance to score.”

“I don’t think it will be straightforward, but it will definitely be a special match for him.”
