Iceland has replenished the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine.

Iceland has contributed over 2 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine

Iceland has increased its total contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine to over 5.6 million euros. During 2023-2024, Iceland has made four contributions to the Fund, which have been used to purchase equipment for enterprises in the fuel and energy sector of Donetsk, Zaporizhia, and Kherson regions.

'Every partner's contribution to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine is extremely important. The funds are used to purchase equipment that helps energy workers restore what has been destroyed by the enemy and bring light and warmth back to the homes of Ukrainians. We thank Iceland for its support and another contribution to Ukraine's energy resilience,' emphasized the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, German Galushchenko.

The Energy Support Fund of Ukraine was established in April 2022 through a joint initiative of the Minister of Energy German Galushchenko and European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson at the Secretariat of the Energy Community.

Currently, the contributions from partners to the Fund have exceeded 1 billion euros. Among the donors of the Fund are the public and private sectors from over 30 countries, including EU member states, the United Kingdom, and the USA, as well as international and regional organizations.
