ISW: Russian Command Exaggerates 'Successes' in War Against Ukraine.
The Institute for the Study of War reported that the Russian command exaggerated the territorial successes of the Russian army in Ukraine. They note that the Secretary of the Russian Security Council and former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also inflated the balloon of his statements about Russia's successes. He claimed that Russia captured 420 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, but the facts indicate that only 290 square kilometers were actually captured. Analysts also highlight the increase in Russian troop attacks on the Toretsk direction. They state that this direction had been inactive since the beginning of the war, but on the night of June 18, it became the main object of attacks. The source of the information is RBC-Ukraine.
