Ward-Prowse, who was previously the vice-captain under Potter and played in all Premier League matches this season, has come under criticism from fans.

According to information from SunSport, Ward-Prowse is not injured in a way that would prevent him from missing the away match in Merseyside.

Nuno, 51, conducted training on Saturday after Potter's dismissal, and held a longer session on Sunday before heading to Everton, where they face former manager David Moyes.

Ward-Prowse played 10 matches under the new coach during his short loan at Nottingham Forest last season.

The former Southampton player joined Forest on the deadline last summer to make room for Carlos Soler at West Ham, but he couldn't secure a place in the team and was recalled in January.

The 30-year-old scored eight goals and provided 12 assists in 73 matches at West Ham.

Nuno faces a tough start at West Ham with away matches against Everton and Arsenal before the international break.

His first home game under his guidance at London Stadium against Brentford is scheduled for October 20, with fans already announcing a boycott of the match due to protests against the club owners.

The 'Sheep' match at London Stadium will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, and it is expected that there will be many empty seats in the stands.

Organizers also hinted at a mass protest on the day of the match against Burnley on November 8.

The situation with Ward-Prowse and the fan protests indicates generalized issues within the team that require urgent resolution. The new coach Nuno has a challenging task ahead to regain the trust of fans and improve the team's performance on the pitch. We will observe how events develop in the coming weeks.
