Ruben Amorim under pressure: what Ratcliffe said about European cups and the coach's future.
According to The Sun: The head coach Ruben Amorim has been tasked: the team must qualify for the European cups this season, otherwise he may be dismissed.
The mentor of Manchester United met with the club's co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, to discuss the current situation.

However, Ratcliffe noted that the club expects United to qualify for Europe next season, according to talkSPORT.
The head of Ineos believes that the coaching staff is capable of securing a top-5 position, as the club spent 200 million pounds to strengthen its attacking line.
Amorim appeared calm when asked about this meeting during a press conference before the match against Chelsea.
The coach of Manchester United joked: “He offered me a new contract!”
“No, it was just regular stuff, just to show support, explain that the season is long. This club might be under more pressure than any other in the world.”
“Last year I was very critical of our play. Now I think we look good until we get to the [penalty] boxes. We need to be more clinical. We are in a better state compared to last year, but we need to win.”
United has only won one of their four Premier League matches and currently sits in 14th place in the table, finishing last season in 15th place.
Calls are emerging for Amorim to change his tactics, but the Portuguese remains confident in his 3-4-3 formation.
“There are many things, you can't imagine what has happened over these months, but I am not going to change.”
“When I want to change my philosophy, I will change. If not, a person needs to change.”
Currently, Manchester United is facing serious challenges in the Premier League, and questions regarding Ruben Amorim's future remain open. Upcoming matches may determine whether the team can climb the table and meet the set task. A successful performance could help the coach keep his position, but failures will make management think about changes.
