According to The Sun: Jose Mourinho has officially been appointed as the new head coach of Benfica.

The Primeira Liga team began negotiations with Mourinho earlier this week after the dismissal of Bruno Lage.

Lage was removed from his position just hours after the club's defeat of 3-2 in the Champions League against Qarabag on Tuesday.
