Joseph Parker declared his readiness for a rematch with Anthony Joshua.
Jill Parker on the path to revenge
According to The Sun: Joseph Parker is determined to avenge his previous losses to Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois. In particular, he wants a rematch with Joshua, whom he lost to in 2018, losing the WBO title.
Parker shared his thoughts with Sky Sports:
“I have always wanted a rematch with Joshua. I want to avenge these losses.”Moreover, he added:
“It doesn’t matter who I fight, as long as it’s someone in the world top 5.”
Joshua, who is 35, has not yet recovered from his setback against Dubois in September 2024, with plans to return in early 2026. Dubois, 28, was supposed to fight Parker in Saudi Arabia in February but withdrew due to illness. Instead, Parker knocked out his replacement, Marina Bakole, in the first round, while Dubois lost to Oleksandr Usyk in July.
Parker emphasized:
“There’s unfinished business, and if he wants, we can arrange it.”He also expressed his readiness:
“I am ready to fight anyone who stands in front of me.”
Fight with Wardley in October
For now, Parker is preparing for the fight with Fabio Wardley, which will take place on October 25 on DAZN PPV, although his priority remains the fight for the WBO title with Usyk. Parker noted:
“They say the winner of this fight will get Usyk next.”However, he remarked that the decision is up to Usyk:
“This fight is possible, but it all depends on who Usyk wants to see.”Right now he is focusing on the upcoming match.
