According to Novyny.live: Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers has introduced additional financial rewards for military personnel and National Police officers who carry out combat missions. The initiative, outlined in Cabinet Resolution No. 768, ties bonus payments to various categories of combat involvement, aiming to boost morale and provide greater support for troops. This move comes as Ukraine continues to face ongoing military challenges, underscoring the government’s effort to sustain its defense forces.
Under the new rules, maximum monthly payouts can reach 460,000 hryvnia. The pilot program, set to run for two years, will see bonus amounts vary based on where combat tasks are performed and the specific nature of each operation.
Bonus Payment Breakdown
- Troops engaged in direct combat clashes can receive up to 100,000 hryvnia each month.
- Those defending positions along the line of contact are eligible for 170,000 hryvnia monthly.
- Personnel executing orders on other front-line sectors will get 70,000 hryvnia per month.
- Service members stationed at command points can expect 50,000 hryvnia monthly.
- Instructors will receive bonuses ranging from 15,000 to 30,000 hryvnia, depending on their duties.
- A fixed sum of 10,000 hryvnia is set for other categories of defenders.
Additionally, a daily payout of 20,000 hryvnia is offered for recapturing lost positions, while seizing enemy fortifications earns 40,000 hryvnia per day. For each Russian soldier taken prisoner, personnel will receive 100,000 hryvnia, and eliminating an occupier in close combat brings 15,000 hryvnia.
These cash bonuses will begin accruing from June 1, 2023, a step expected to positively influence the morale and motivation of service members handling critical front-line duties. The Cabinet’s initiative represents another measure to support Ukraine’s defenders during a challenging period.
