Increase in cases of cyber fraud
According to inkorr.com: The Cyber Police Department in Ukraine draws attention to new fraudulent schemes that are actively used on well-known online platforms. Dangerous criminals use phishing to collect personal data through popular messengers.
Common fraud methods
Experts emphasize that the most common scheme involves scammers contacting sellers on messengers, posing as interested buyers. In the course of communication, they attempt to obtain personal information and later send links to a counterfeit website where they require the input of bank card details.

The Ukrainian Cyber Police urges citizens to be attentive and not to show excessive trust towards strangers during online trading to avoid fraud and financial loss.
The situation with cyber fraud remains relevant, and only the vigilance of each of us can help prevent crimes in the digital space. Using two-factor authentication and being mindful of any suspicious requests can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim of scammers.
