Expert: Kyiv has enough resources for heat and light this winter.
According to inkorr.com: The Director of Energy Programs at the Razumkov Center, Volodymyr Omelyanenko, assured that Kyiv will be able to provide heating and lighting even in the most difficult conditions when the energy infrastructure is threatened by possible attacks from Russia.
'I believe that we will hold on with 9 nuclear blocks, through imports. We will sustain ourselves with those heating points,' emphasized Omelyanenko.
The expert also noted that there are mini-boiler houses that could become an alternative if large facilities are damaged. In addition, the authorities are considering the possibility of installing modular boilers and using electric heaters to provide heating in the city.
Importance of protection
Volodymyr Omelyanenko urged the residents of the capital to remain calm in the face of possible threats, emphasizing that the protection of Kyiv's energy facilities should be a priority. He highlighted the critical importance of strengthening air defense over strategic energy facilities.
'On some minimum level, we will get through the winter; there is no need to panic,' the expert emphasized.
According to Omelyanenko, the city has enough resources and capabilities to ensure heating even in the most difficult situations due to various energy sources and their effective management.
The expert is convinced that Kyiv is capable of providing its residents with heat and light without difficulty, even in the face of threats to the energy infrastructure. He also stressed the importance of enhancing the protection of energy facilities and being ready for possible challenges.
