According to Novyny.live: In response to severe winter weather hitting the city, Kyiv launched a major snow and ice clearing operation on the night of February 15-16. The city mobilized a substantial force of specialized equipment and personnel to ensure road safety and maintain mobility for residents.

During the overnight shift, 289 pieces of specialized machinery were deployed to clear the roads. This effort was supported by 31 crews, comprising 216 workers, who performed manual clearing. This coordinated response allowed the city to quickly adapt to changing conditions and keep major thoroughfares passable. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, temperatures on February 16 are forecast to be between -7 and -9°C, with a north-westerly wind reaching speeds of 7-12 m/s and gusts of 15-20 m/s.
