Kharkiv Under Attack

According to Novyny.live: On June 29, Russian forces launched strikes on Kharkiv and 29 settlements in the surrounding region. Four people lost their lives in these attacks, among them a 23-year-old woman. Additionally, 24 individuals sustained injuries, including two children. The city of Kharkiv suffered the most damage, according to Oleh Syniehubov.

In Kharkiv, 12 people were harmed during the assault. The occupiers deployed two UMPB-5 aerial bombs, causing extensive destruction. A tram, a passenger car, as well as private and non-residential buildings were damaged. In the village of Hubarivka, a 75-year-old woman was killed, while in Horokhovatka, two people died—their identities are still being confirmed.

Shelling and Humanitarian Crisis

The shelling of the Kharkiv region continued throughout the day, with the following weapons used:

  • three Iskander-M missiles
  • nine guided aerial bombs
  • seven Geran-2 attack drones
  • five Molniya drones
  • 43 drones of other types

Dozens of civilian infrastructure facilities were also damaged as a result of the bombardments.

Furthermore, on June 28, a car hit an explosive device, causing a 56-year-old woman to suffer a traumatic amputation of her left foot. These events are worsening the already dire humanitarian situation in the region, where the population continues to endure the consequences of war. This ongoing violence has been a grim reality for Ukraine since 2014, affecting countless lives.

These attacks are part of the prolonged military aggression that has been ongoing since 2014 and demonstrate the continuation of violence in Ukraine. The international community continues to monitor the situation, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
