To ensure safe movement for vehicles and pedestrians, crews began clearing major roads and thoroughfares in the early hours of February 16. This swift response is typical for a city that experiences harsh winter conditions, requiring a robust infrastructure maintenance plan.
The operation involves over 160 specialized vehicles. Additionally, 456 workers organized into 70 teams are conducting manual snow removal. On residential grounds, more than 2,822 employees from property management companies are working to clear snow and improve safety for residents.
Park and Square Maintenance
Cleanup efforts are also underway in the city's parks and squares. A force of 559 municipal landscaping workers, supported by 15 specialized vehicles, is clearing pathways. These measures aim to ensure comfortable conditions for visitors to the capital's green spaces.
In total, Kyiv's utility services are actively working to mitigate the effects of the snowfall and maintain order and safety across the city.
