Kyiv Electric Train Modernized: What Changed for Passengers.
According to inkorr.com: Ukrzaliznytsia continues to improve its suburban rolling stock. According to the company's official data, 46 refurbished electric trains of its own production have been added to the Kyiv circle electric train, as well as the tenth this year - the ER9E-565 train.
'After modernization, the electric train, built in 1981, became more convenient and accessible for everyone,' the company explained.
According to information from Ukrzaliznytsia, following repairs at the Kyiv Electric Train Repair Plant, the train received new seats, improved lighting, and inclusive elements for passenger convenience, such as special tables, Braille inscriptions, contrasting markings, and modern cabin design.
Ukrzaliznytsia is actively working on the modernization of suburban rolling stock to ensure comfortable conditions for passengers during their trips.
These steps demonstrate Ukrzaliznytsia's commitment to creating a more convenient transport system for citizens. The modernization of old rolling stock not only increases comfort levels but also makes trips more accessible for people with disabilities, which is an important aspect for improving service quality in passenger transportation.
