The head of the US and Oceania Department of the PRC Ministry of Foreign Affairs, before visiting Beijing, stated that China will continue to support the idea of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. He noted that China maintains an open and fair position on the Ukrainian issue and will continue to promote peace talks, facilitate political settlement, and undertake mediator diplomacy.
